What’s your background?

I grew up in North Yorkshire in a tiny little town, which was really lovely, and decided that I wanted to study history and journalism at university. So I moved to London and went to Goldsmiths and did my degree and loved it. Then I got a job in communications in a consulting firm, but it wasn't really for me. I wanted to do something a bit more creative.

What does your role at Embrace involve?

I help the rest of the accounts management team to make sure that projects are keeping on track and that clients are happy with what we’re doing. And I make sure that the designers are doing as they're told!

What’s the best thing about your job?

Probably the team that I work with – everybody's really lovely and friendly and so helpful. I didn’t work with so many women in my last job so I’m enjoying that. The office is pretty cool as well.

Who would be on your list of dream dinner party guests?

It would have to be Harry Styles. I love his music and what he wears, and what he stands for – treating people with kindness. I’d also invite the actress Florence Pugh – she’s quite bold and knows what she wants. I heard that her and Harry Styles don’t like each other though, so it could be a bit awkward!

If you could pick a superpower, what would it be?

I’d like to be invisible so I could travel anywhere by plane without buying a ticket! It would be fun to spy on people too.

Name one item you couldn’t live without and why?

A cup of tea. Preferably Yorkshire tea. It wakes me up in the morning and it’s a comfort thing as well. When you’re having a bad day, a cup of tea makes it 100 times better.

Any side projects / other interests you’d like to share?

I still do a bit of journalism – I write about where I'm from and the people that live there. Bradford and the area around it is quite an interesting place socially and economically. The government scrapped the plans for the high-speed rail link, so I’ve written about that and the ‘levelling up’ agenda.
